FROZEN DESERT

Polar deserts are large tracts of land where there is only ice. We think that the word "desert" is only used for a place where there is only land and it's always extremely hot, but we are wrong.
Polar deserts are produced by a particular weather phenomenon and they have a constant temperature below zero, so the water on the floor is always frozen. Sometimes there are rainfalls, but it isn`t enough to change the landscape.
The biggest frozen deserts are located in the Antartica, in Scandinavan countries and in the centre of Greenland by compaction and recrystallization of snow. These ice-blocks are named glaciers.
Finally, I would like to say that we must do something to stop global warming because if glaciers melt we will be in serious trouble... Earth will be flooded.
